On 28 May 2026, Kate McInnes, Principal at Arendt Chambers, appeared before Canada's House of Commons Standing Committee on Foreign Affairs and International Development to provide expert testimony on proposed amendments to Canada's Magnitsky sanctions regime.

Kate appeared alongside Sir William Browder, Vladimir Kara-Murza, and Marcus Kolga, and her testimony drew on a brief co-authored with Alex Prezanti of Artemis Chambers, analyzing Bill C-219 and its implications for Canada's ability to sanction perpetrators of transnational repression.
